The title is of this Newsweek article is "Have We Softened Up on Torture?" This article is about American troops in Abu Ghraib Prison who made the prisoners do immoral things. The article points out that most of the prisoners were nude and forced to simulate sex acts. Former President George W. Bush offered and apology and said "the offenders would be brought to justice because the victims are human beings. When President Obama took office he released memos showing that the prisoners could be thrown into walls, waterboarded, shackled to the ceiling for hours, deprived of sleep for up to 11 days, and locked on coffinlike boxes. A year later all the torture acts the troops used in Abu Ghraib Prison were legalized.
Personally, I think that torture is wrong. When you torture somebody your torturing another human being. When torture includes stripping somebody nude and then using another torture act against them is something that should get the torturers locked up for life. Torture in general is something that should be forbidden throughout the world. The tortures think is fun or funny when it happens to someone else, but I would like to see what they think if it happens to them. I want to know if they think it is fun or funny.

Colts Draft Picks (Week 15)
As we all know by now the NFL draft was this past Saturday. In this year's draft the Colts had some very interesting picks. They dafted QB Curtis Painter, RB Donald Brown, WR Austin Collie, DT Fili Moala, DT Terrance Taylor, DB Jerraud Powers and others. With our picks we picked up some players that could turn into superstars on this team if they play the game the way it is supposed to be played.
Even though we didn't get a linebacker like we planned I think we did very well in the draft. With our first draft pick we got Donald Brown. I liked this choice because he is a talented back who can maybe get Joe Addai to play like he did when he was chasing the starting spot. We drafted Curtis Painter which I think is a better backup to Peyton Manning than Jim Sorgi is because Painter has played with a scheme like the Colts's in college. I like our other picks because we addressed the other thing we need to be a Super Bowl contending team again.

Iran's Leader Sparks Western Walkout at UN Meeting (Week 14)
Iran's leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the UN meeting Monday. Ahmadinejad delievered a insulting speech against Israel. He has denied that the Holocaust never happened. A U.N. chief, Ban Ki-moon, asked Ahmadinejad, before his speech, to avoid dividing the conference. Ahmandinejad said that the U.S. and Europe helped establish Israel at the expense of Palestinians after WWII.
I personally think that Ahmadinejad was out of place with his speech. He is an Iranian not a Palestinean. This is not his fight to fight. If he wanted to help the Palestineans he should have delievered a much different speech. Now that he has openly insulted Israel the U.S., Israel's greatest alli, will probably have a close eye on his furture activities. If he was so dead set on delivering this speech then he should have said it to a more reclusive group unless he wanted everybody to know about it. All in all I think it was stupid for him to deliver the speech because his country isn't fighting that war so he shouldn't worry about it.

What Would You Do? (Week 11)
In one of the episodes a person passed out on the sidewalk of a busy street. With all the people walking by you'd think that somebody would stop and help them out. Not very many people stopped to help the person out. When some did they called the police, who know about the TV Show and aren't going to help. The people who called the police most likely saw things written about in papers or shown about on TV on how people have did because of things like this.
If I was in this situation then I wish I would stop and help the person out. I really hope I would call 911 if I had a phone and if I didn't have a phone I would someone to let me use their phone. I hope I would stay with that person until the paramedics got there to help him out. I hope I would make sure that that person was alright and well looked after.
